Fall...into Fall

Love this time of year....

Leven started district this past Tuesday night and his first game was against TATUM! Bitter sweet of course.  But Carthage put a whoopin on those Lady Eagles.  We played the best we have played all year.  I was so proud and so was Leven.  I'm like the silent 3rd coach sitting in the stands.  And I love it.  I texted the 3 sophomores that I coached in club before the game to help get them pumped up a little and I think that what I said maybe helped (at least I tell myself that!).  Because those 3 all played their best game! If we play like we did on Tuesday I really think we will go far in the play-offs. Tenlee had her game face on too!
Tomorrow Tatum and Henderson are playing each other and Leven is going to scout that game.  For some reason Tatum is playing a lot of their games on a Saturday this year.  Since there are only 4 teams in our district we play each other 3 times.  Weird.  And this is a first for us.  So Leven is going to head to Henderson tomorrow morning and watch that game.  Then we are going to head to Shreveport and take the girls with us for the day.  Since my birthday is coming up, Leven said we could head over and do a little shopping! Yippee for me!! We will head over and get back so we can spend the rest of the day relaxing and watching some college football.  This is the first weekend we don't have a volleyball tournament!!

Look at Tenlee's fall pictures!! OMG!
 My girls!
This is Iesha Bryant.  She is Leven's player that is at the University of Tennessee! She is starting as a true freshmen and is doing very well! If you catch them on TV, stop and watch!

Rosie

Our trip to Dallas and to the American Girl Doll store was one to remember.  Taydem and Austyn had so much fun that day.  We woke up early and got to the store before 10:00 am.  Taydem, Mom and I headed for the big dolls and Molly, Debbie and Austyn headed for the babies.  Taydem wanted the doll that looked like her and we found her! Freckles, hazel eyes and long brown hair and she named her Rosie! I have no idea where the name came from but she named her fast! And then we bought three outfits.  Good gosh...oh and a raincoat.  The raincoat was a "special" when you spent a certain amount of money.  Thanks American Girl Doll! I also bought a birthday present for one of Taydem's little girlfriends.  We knew once we got back home we were headed straight to a birthday party! So I spent a pretty penny that day! But so far it's been ALL worth it.  Taydem loves Rosie and has changed her outfits like 20 times! So I'm already thinking Santa may be bringing her a bag or chest of some sort for Rosie's outfits for Christmas.  And of course MORE OUTFITS! After we left the store we headed to eat lunch at the Reunion Tower.  So fun! What a day.....

Once we got home we headed to her friend's birthday party! Taydem had a blast.  She DID NOT want to leave.  All the other girls were spending the night, but since we just stayed the night in Dallas, I had already made up my mind that Taydem wasn't going to.  She was upset with me for like 5 minutes, but got over it.  She was worn out! I knew she would be.  She had such a good time at this party.
Check out their robes and flip flop! Too cute.

Dolly Dolly

Today after work, Mom, Taydem and I are headed up to Dallas to stay at the Maxey condo along with Molly, Austyn and Debbie aka "Bebe" for the night.  Tomorrow is Taydem and Austyn's BIRTHDAY DAY that they have been waiting on "patiently" for a long time.  They are getting to go to the American Girl Doll store to pick out their very own doll! Taydem has been wanting one of these dolls for a really long time (I still can't believe I'm spending this much money on a doll)! So I figured I might as well go ahead and buy her one.  She loves her baby dolls and barbie dolls and I know she will play with it like every day.  We had a talk yesterday about how special this doll AND how she is going to take really good care of her doll, how she will never lose this doll, how she will play with it all the time, how she will appreciate this doll and love her Momma forever!!! I think the talk went well. After they go shopping for their doll and buy their dolls a few accessories and clothes we are going to take them to eat lunch at the Reunion Tower!
They are going to die when they see the tower!
I can't wait.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Melts my heart

My husband can be a complete TURD sometimes (and if you know him (like really know him) then you know what I'm talking about!
And then there's this softer side of Leven that TONS of people have no clue about.  One reason is because he doesn't want people to know about this softer side of him.  He likes the much rougher edge of himself.  But I have always known this softer side.  It's one of the many reasons why I feel in love with him. I first saw this side of him when I had my last seizure (pray it's my last) and it was with him.  Scared him to death.  We had only known each other for a few weeks then.  I was a young coach and he never left my side that day.  My sister was actually visiting me that day and was at my house while we were playing golf.  When we got back to the house she told him to take me back to my bed because she knew I would sleep the rest of the day (Danin has been with me two other times when I have had other seizures so she knows the routine).  My mom called Danin a couple times checking on me and asked her if "that coach" was still at the house with me.  And Danin's reply was, yes he's still laying beside her.  Kind of makes me tear up talking about it......
He was just afraid to leave me.

So now fast forward.
This is what he did for Izzy.
  Melts my heart.
Isabella says- "Hi, LadyDog Tough, I would love for you to wear my initials."

Mexico...thumbs down

Need some prayers people!
My cousin Sterling and her husband Steven and some friends of theirs are in Cabo right now. And if you haven't been keeping up with the news lately then you wouldn't know that Cabo was hit by a Category 4 hurricane 2 days ago. They tried to catch a flight home, but couldn't! So they had to ride it out.  They made it through the storm, but as of now, there is NO power, NO water and my Aunt and Uncle have not heard from them today.  It's a very scary situation and we are worried about them.  They are saying that the closest airports to Cabo have damage and that the earliest flights out may be next Monday, the 22nd.  Also, another hurricane is building right now in the Pacific Ocean just southwest of Acapulco. It's supposed to hit Cabo by Thursday.  Pray that it stays at a tropical storm and doesn't bring much rain.  Cabo is flooded right now.  I am just hoping that Sterling and them are staying put in their resort and not roaming the streets. Please say a prayer for them!

Leven and his girls have a home game tonight against Gilmer.  They start district next Tuesday.  Tonight is "Teacher Night!" The girls always love doing this.  It brings out a bigger crowd and they love honoring their favorite teachers.

Update on Lizzy.  This past Friday she finished her second round of chemo.  So far so good.  Please keep praying for sweet Izzy.  She still has a long hard road ahead of her. Team Isabella

I get angry when I have to change my password on something.  Why can't I just leave it the same? I mean I know why, but dang it! (sorry venting)

OK, happy Tuesday, right!

Leven has a pretty big game tonight.  We are playing a duel match tonight in Hallsville.  First we play Van, then we play Hallsville! Right now Hallsville is the team to beat around East Texas.  I want so bad for us to beat them in their own gym.  They have them ranked #2 right now in the state.  I have about 15 more minutes left of work and then I'm headed that way! Lady Dawg Tough!

This Friday our Tatum Eagle's are playing the Gilmer Buckeyes! Another huge game around East Texas.  I bet there will be cars parked for miles in lil ole Tatum, Tx! Check out my sweet nieces at the last home game!

I love technology and I love how teachers post pictures on facebook! Taydem's teacher posted this picture of her last week.  I think they were working on spelling words.
Yesterday she comes home telling me she lost her homework.  This Momma wasn't too happy.  Thank goodness for wonderful friends.  Her friend's mom texted me a picture of her spelling words so I could write them out for her.  She had to write the words each three times. I hope this isn't a sign of how this year is going to be.
Or even her future!!

DD's do Dallas

So the DD's (diet diva's) had a wonderful time in Dallas together on Saturday.  Thankful for all our hubby's for taking care of our children. (And some of our parent's also chipped in!) We have 18 kids between us all! Good gosh! We lounged poolside, ate good, walked the streets, and laughed until we cried! Us Momma's NEED this every now and then. Just having a little break from the kids is nice. I really enjoyed myself.  AND, what woman doesn't like to get herself all fixed up and beautifed?? I don't like doing it all the time, but it's fun, sometimes! Can't wait for our next trip.
It may be years from now :)

Friday night we headed to the Carthage football game for just a little bit.  It was so dang hot! Tenlee looks like a baby doll sitting in my lap in this picture! Austyn tagged along!
She is always ready for the camera....CHEESE!
Her momma is CA-RAZY!!
My beautiful nephew, Tucker, has broken yet another bone.  This is his third in a year.  Poor thing. A guess just a boy.  The beginning of last school year he had a broken foot.  This year it's his arm. Praying for NO surgery.  Waiting to find this out today.
Look at my beautiful girlies! They make me proud in all that GREEN! Taydem thinks she is so big now because she can walk around carrying Tenlee on her hip.

Suddenly September

Summer is slowly departing us...that's right folks...it's September. School is going great.  Taydem has offically started bringing home the dreaded homework assignments.  Time to start checking that folder every night.  She has her first big spelling test tomorrow.  She loves math (something else that we can check off "just like her Bubba list")! I hope she continues to enjoy math because I'm horrible at it. I never had to help Trever with math in school (thank you Jesus!). And I pray she follows in Trever's footsteps.
Speaking of Trever...check him out!
His first Texas Tech football game! He is loving it in Lubbock! Guns Up!
We headed to Mexia/Groesbeck last weekend to watch Leven's volleyball girls in the Groesbeck tournament and stayed the night with Grans.

We are loving Uncle Dustin and Aunt Molly's new swimming pool!

This Saturday is my weekend with my Diet Diva's! We are headed to Uptown Dallas.  So ready for a little getaway.  We are all excited of course! I hope to take lots of pictures and will share next week!

Please continue to pray for sweet Izzy.  She starts her second round of chemo on September 8th. We got the bracelets in on Tuesday and they are selling like hot cakes!
