Billy Bobs and The Pistol Annie's was a huge success! Us 5 girls had a blast last night. The Pistol Annie's were so good in concert and the huge honky tonk was packed! I would say probably 80% of that crowd was female! We danced, sang at the top of our lungs and danced some more. I enjoyed spending the night with my two cousins Peyton and Whitney, my sister and one of my closest friends Carla. It's so hard after you get married and have kids. Our lives move in different directions and it's just plain hard getting together with your girls. You have to make time to call, email, text to keep these relationships going. And we all know how important girlfriends are to have. Loads of memories and stories to remember and crack up about.

The Pine Tree Lady Pirates are 2-0 in district and 28-5 overall! They beat Texas High on Tuesday and it was a really good game. Fun to watch but I know Leven and the girls were glad when it was over. Trever and his paint crew were there loud and proud cheering on the girls.

Last night we headed to Tyler to watch TJC play Panola in volleyball. One of Levens ex players plays for Tyler Junior College and one plays for Panola. That level of game is just so much faster than high school.

When we need a quick babysitter we always call up Babette and her daughter Nikki. Nikki played on my club vball team last Spring and Taydem feel in love with them. Plus they love her and spoil her to death. No wonder Tay loves going to their house. Here are a few pics Nikki sent me!

They bought her this stroller!

Cheer what

My parents remodeling is moving along, fast! And it looks so awesome. Danin and I helped them move more stuff out of the house today and we found a lot. My mom kept everything. Everything. Prom dresses, letter jackets, cheerleading uniforms, Halloween costumes, clothes, homecoming mums, bridesmaid dresses, etc. You name it, she's got it. So we had some fun today trying on "old" stuff! So glad you has a tad bit of hoarding in her!!! Taydem even came home with a few random items.

Natchez

We made it to our hotel, checked into our rooms, changed clothes and headed out. We wanted to tour the historic downtown Natchez before dark. We decided since it was only about a mile away that walking would be good. Plus the weather is beautiful. We walked along the Mississippi river reading historic signs and taking pictures of old homes and buildings. Pretty cool. But tomorrow we will hit the road early to meet up with the land man. Then turn around and drive back home. Short trip. But it's work. With a few perks!

Rain

Thank you Lord for all the rain we've been getting here lately.  This weekend was nice and relaxing.

After church yesterday we headed over to my parents house.  They are in the process of remodeling and it's a little crazy over there right now.  My parents built their home, I believe in 1978, and it is still in really good shape.  Throughout the years they have added a pool, changed the floors, added paint (and ugly wallpaper), updated with new furniture, added new counter tops, etc, but NOW it's a major remodel going on.  They thought about this remodeling job for a really long time.  At one point, they thought they would just build a house in Tatum on the farm across the highway from all their kids (minus me, of course), but different things made them decide to just stay where they are and add on.  Us 4 kids were raised in this house and grew up next to our grandparents and cousins.  Let me just say it-------loads of memories were made in our home.  And my parents just couldn't leave it.  Now their grand children are being raised in this same house and we are making new memories everytime we are there.  Miranda Lambert's song "The House that Built Me" hits home hard! Great song! So..................The process will include a brand new kitchen (new appliances, cabinets, etc.), closed in the carport and made a huge living room right off the new kitchen, a new car port, a new porch and outdoor kitchen off the new living room, new floors throughout the entire house, the game room will be changed into a huge eating area, the dining room will be the my mom's new office, they are adding onto the master bath and adding another closet in their bedroom! I'm sure I left out a few new changes, but that's the majority.  Yesterday we helped them move boxes and furniture into a POD outside the house.  I'm excited for them both! Especially my MOM!

It helps that my dad is a builder! ☻

Coach Barker

Leven hit a milestone last night in his career- 400 wins. Right after the win all the varsity, JV, and freshmen teams put on shirts saying 400! Super special. Leven was shaking hands with the refs and when he turned around all the girls had on their shirts and threw him one. He had the biggest smile on his face. I tell him over and over how wonderful of a coach he is. Its because he cares for each of his players on and off the court. He wants to see
them succeed in school and outside of school. And they adore him!! So congrats to the hubs and I cant wait for 400 more!!

Taydem had cheerleading camp this morning! Of course she loved it. I loved it to bc I had a little "Me" time while she was away.

Short and Sweet

I cut and colored my hair yesterday and got Taydems cut! I said I would never cut her hair again, but her hair is just too fine right now. It looks so much thicker and healthier when it's short and bouncy. Thanks to my friend Brittany for hookin is up!

Taydem with Brittanys kids Grant and Emersyn

Every Friday Taydem will bring a "Show and Tell" from our house to school. So today it starts. They had to bring something that started the the letter "A.". So we brought her favorite movie Alice In Wonderland!

Our weekend is jammed packed! Have a good one!

I find it much easier to blog from my iPhone than the computer. So......coming up in our world!

This month is crazy busy (no secret)! Trever is working still a couple days a week and taking duel credit classes his senior year. These are classes that will also count towards college credits if he makes a good grade. He has decided to play Fall baseball and has 5 tournaments in September and October.

Levens vball record is 17-5. They shouldn't lose another game! District should be a piece of cake.
Leven had a check up yesterday about his skin cancer and everything looked good! He will go back in 3 months.

I found a senior girl (we have actually known her since moving here) that will start picking Taydem up in the afternoons so she doesn't have to ride the bus and sit at the daycare until we pick her up. Works out great! Taydem loves Kindergarten!

I am busy with work. I am singing one of my solos with the choir next Thursday night for Gospel Night. The end of the month we are taking a girls trip to Billy Bobs in Ft. Worth to see The Pistol Annie's in concert. It's actually a " cousins" trip! My sister and our girl cousins will have a blast up there together!!
