My dad said he found a 30 lb bag full of coins. He said several hundred $$$ was in there!

I'm a DORK

I get really distracted easy. Especially at work when I'm sitting at my computer doing report after report after report! So this is what I do when I take breaks:

1. Text a picture of myself to a few people!

2. Then I wait to see if I get any takers!!

Didn't take him long...he's sitting out in the hall for TAKS testing this week!

3. So I send another one out!

4. Any more takers??

5. So if you get some random picture of me one day, you know exactly what to do! Yes, I am a dork...but it will make you smile for the day!


Last night when I got home from working out, this is what I found. She makes us crack up!

T-O-R-N-A-D-O!

Yesterday we had some pretty bad weather in East Texas! A TORNADO actually touched down and hit my parent's farm (which is across the road from all my siblings houses!) Both my brothers live on a hill in the subdivision. So Dustin and Molly's crew headed down to Danin and Eric's house for cover. Darin and Chrissy stayed in their house. Darin went outside and actually saw the tornado across the road at my parents farm. It scared him to death so he ran back inside to take cover. He thought it was heading their way. The tornado up rooted several trees and tore up the buildings/sheds on the farm! Wow. I bet my parents will rethink about building a house on that hill one day. I'm glad everyone was safe and none of their homes were destroyed.

We got about 2 inches of rain in Longview along with strong winds and hail! We never lost power, thank goodness! Happy for the rain. But I can't stand storms like that. We just stay glued to the TV or radio the whole time. I don't know how many times Taydem asked, "What happened?"

On a good note, Leven's sister came to visit us yesterday. Short trip (she was up this way for work) but good to see her. She brought Taydem all her Christmas presents and Taydem thought it was the best day ever! She was so excited when I got home from work! Thanks Terri for all our gifts! ♥ you

One more good note: My cousin Austin got married last week. His parents threw them a really nice reception Friday night and we all attended! Tons of laughs....I took just a few pictures.

Our Meme and Papaw

I believe it is so important to have grandparents apart of your children's life. I never knew my mom's daddy and my mom's mom (Nannie) died the summer starting my senior year. I think about her often and how proud she would be of all of her grandkids, and of course her own children. My Nannie was a very loving, hard working woman! Miss her tons...

My dad's parents are still alive and we grew up right down the road from them. My Papaw here lately hasn't been doing all the best. He's 89 years old and is starting to really slow down. My Meme is still right there beside him trying her best to take care of him. Taydem and I went to visit them over the weekend. We brought her a huge bouquet of flowers and these are a few pictures of her and Tay putting them in a vase.

I'm still here

I haven't been keeping up very well with my blog here lately! I guess my life has been boring or something.

This past weeked was so nice! I took off half a day on Thursday to run some errands before heading to Trever's baseball game in Hallsville and then we left there and headed to Shreveport for the night. Trever only has one more game this season...thank goodness! It's been a pretty rough one for him and Leven!

Thursday night we checked into our hotel to freshen up before taking a cab over to Superior! We love that place. Food, music, and the best margaritas! Danin, Eric and Brandi went with us and then Cara and Aric and Brandi's friend, Jeff showed up a little later. We had such a good time! We then headed back to the casino and I think we ALL won that night. Leven was up $1000 at one time. He ended up coming home with $400! Can't be that!

I got on EBAY a couple of weeks ago trying to find some "play clothes" for Taydem. She's at that age where I pick her up from school and her clothes are a mess! Food or dirt! I'm tired of spending a lot of money on nice clothes and then having them ruined. So I thought I would get on ebay and buy a few "used" items. I got an awesome deal! I spent $40 and got 13 dresses and 2 capri outfits. Some of the stuff was new and some used. Which I don't really care if it's used. As long as it comes from a smoke free home! I washed everything before she wore them. She LOVES the dresses. She is a dress kind of gal. They are perfect for school. Except they told me to put shorts on underneath the dresses bc Taydem likes to flash everybody (too much like her daddy!)!! So this is one of the dresses I got for her and she just HAD to wear this headband!

So I have been working for this company for 2 1/2 years now and since day one I have been told how I will get to go out "in the field" one day. That day has FINALLY come around! I have been training on some new stuff for work and I really need to go out and see an oil/gas well site. I see it drawn on paper, but I need to have a mental picture of what a heater/treater, tank battery, earthen berm, separators, compressors, Dehy units, chemical AST's, containments, etc. really look like! This stuff is CRAZY! So I need steel toed boots, safety glasses and a HARD HAT! Check me out. Leven said he won't have to worry about me getting "hit on!" Turd!

Baseball FEVER

This year I haven't been able to see most of Trever's district games because they start at 4:00! I hate this....I got off work a little early last Friday to catch some of a game. He's doing so well right now. I believe his batting average is in the 500's (This is just a guesstimate!) I could be so off on that one. Taydem loves the games as well. She runs around the whole time visiting and playing with anyone who will play with her. Kids or adults. It's pretty funny!

Happy Hump Day

My sweet nephew had a birthday yesterday! Happy 5th to Ashby Duke! Sunday we went to my parents house for a little get together celebrating his birthday. Taydem LOVES getting to see and play with all her cousins. It's so nice being all right here together. Here are a few pictures:

Wrecking Crew

My last tournament couldn't have been any better. We made it to the championship game! At that point I didn't care if they won or lost. I was just so proud of them getting that far. We ended up losing, but still went home with a silver medal! This group of girls were so coachable and so sweet! I can't wait to watch them play together in the Fall.

Tay and Cade

Cade lives next door and is two months older than Taydem! They love each other....It's so sweet watching them play together. Although sometimes you will hear them fighting and bossing each other around!
